The Talisman of Delucha on Amazon

06 Apr 2009 01:23 pm

The Talisman of Delucha is now available on Amazon.com! This is quite a bit faster than I was expecting, which is good. Still nothing on Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc. yet, but I will keep updating as things happen.

Website update

02 Jun 2009 02:43 pm

I will be working in the next couple of weeks on updating and revamping this website. The new version will be easier to navigate and it will also have some very cool new features. However, there may be some downtime due to this here and there as we work on the upgrade.

Update on Website update

11 Jun 2009 06:50 am

It looks as thought the site upgrade is not going to happen until the end of the month, because my tech person is going out of town for 2 weeks. I was hoping he would have had it done this week sometime, but other things came up on his end and that is not going to be possible. So... look for the site update around the end of June!

Book Trailer Weekend

18 Jun 2009 07:05 am

You're probably wondering, what is a book trailer? Think of it like a movie trailer, but for a book. It's a short video preview of what the book is about.

This weekend (well, Saturday mostly, since Sunday is father's day and I have plans with dad) I'm going to be working on a book trailer for The Moon's Eye. We are actually going to film the trailer using a program called Fraps from within an online game. It's going to be a unique project, and should prove to be a lot of fun.

After the filming, I'll be putting the video together and editing it. I'm not sure how long that will take, but I'm thinking it won't be too terribly long before I have something up on this site for viewing. Until the new version of the site is up, I will probably not be able to post the video anywhere except in the forums/message boards - but I will update the news to let you know when it is up and available for watching.

The Moon's Eye book trailer

21 Jun 2009 12:29 pm

The book trailer filming went very well yesterday, and the video came together nicely this morning. You can check out the finished product in 2 ways:

High resolution, good quality, but longer buffer time

or

Lower resolution, lower quality, faster buffer time

Enjoy!

Website update #3

09 Jul 2009 07:16 pm

It looks like the new website construction is underway again. I'm hoping to have the new site up within the next couple weeks! I have been told while the current site is transitioning to the new one, there will only be 15 - 20 minutes of downtime.

The new site is going to be very nice! It will be much easier for me to update and add content, with the additional bonus of me not having to bug the IT guys when I want to do something. There will also be some neat mouse-over button changes, and a whole new look. I'm very excited about the update, and will keep you posted on the progress!

November is National Novel Writing Month!

03 Nov 2009 06:16 pm

NaNoWriMo.org is hosting a 30-day event spanning the month of November, challenging writers - and anyone else who wants a challenge - to pen a 50,000 word book during the month of November. Go to http://www.nanowrimo.org for more information.

Based on my calculations, 50,000 words is equivalent to about 150 typed pages at 1.5 spacing. That's quite a challenge to do in 1 month! Good luck, and happy writing!

The War of the Nameless: Update

22 Mar 2010 02:59 pm

I wanted to post an update on the status of The War of the Nameless, the third book in the fantasy series I finished writing in 2008. Currently, I am in the process of finalizing the manuscript to send to the publisher. My goal is to have all editing done by April 1.

Once the publisher has the manuscript it will be 6-8 weeks before it is officially published. Once published, the book will be available on the publisher's website immediately, and will be available through Amazon and Borders.com within 4-6 weeks.

To make a long story short, the tentative release date should be sometime around the end of May or early June. Keep checking back for more updates!

Another update on The War of the Nameless

22 Apr 2010 05:00 pm

I have temporarily put the publication of my third book, The War of the Nameless, on hold while I seek out an agent for my books. I have come to the conclusion that not only will an agent benefit me when it comes to marketing, but it is almost necessary to have one to be successful as a novelist.

As always, I will continue to update this website and keep those of you who follow the news here informed. (The website update is still coming, and should be "soon" according to the tech guys. We have the new layout designed, and it should be a big upgrade to the current website).
