I have been writing "stories" since I was in elementary school. The first stories were mostly silly things like "My Very Weird Brother" (a hand written and self illustrated story I wrote in first or second grade) that now just serve to make people laugh. I have always written stories "just for fun" but never started writing anything that I thought was worthy of others reading it until I was in high school. I was 18 years old when I finished writing The Moon's Eye, although it did not get published until seven years after I had completed it.
I grew up in Colorado, in the Longmont and Loveland areas. I got my Bachelors of Science in microbiology at Colorado State University in 2005. I enjoy being outdoors, and love living so close to the Rocky Mountains. My husband and I like to go camping and hiking, and often go fishing when we get the chance to do so.
